It's been more than a week since Eliot Spitzer's campaign yanked a discussion board and blog comments from the gubernatorial frontrunner's web site, just as very critical comments were coming in regarding his running mate, state Sen. David Paterson.

And it's been one week since Spitzer supporters blew it off as simply the first step of a pending redesign of the entire web site.

Still, no redesign. And the comments, which had been hidden but not deleted, are now deleted.

Memo to candidates: If you thought people weren't paying close attention to your web sites, you were wrong.
