From New York's newspaper of record:
An article on Thursday about Senator Charles E. Schumer's decision to repay $20,000 in public funds spent on political and fund-raising trips, after questions were raised by a Republican rival, misstated the makeup of the New York Legislature, where the rival, Howard Mills, has served for six years. Democrats control only the Assembly; Republicans control the Senate.
It's an easy mistake to make, though. That makeup is new as of the 1970s.
