"Is that spelled with one X and two Qs, or two Xs and three Qs?" This is truly amazing:

An article yesterday about a book party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the release of "My Life," by Bill Clinton, misspelled the surnames of four guests in some copies and omitted the given name of another, a television host.

Among the guests were the broadcaster Robert MacNeil, not McNeil; the historian Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., not Schlessinger; Maurice Tempelsman, not Templesman (who is a former companion of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis); and the writer Calvin Trillin, not Trilling. The television host was Star Jones, of "The View," on ABC.

Mistakes happen. Slip-ups do get past the copy desk. There may have been a tight deadline. But, still...
