Debate Thoughts

The best review of yesterday's Democratic presidential debate in New York was over at Wonkette: "We wish the New York Time's Elisabeth Bumiller was running for president, just so that we could vote against her."

While Bumiller's over-the-top-awful performance as a questioner grabbed most of the attention, this quote from Sen. John Kerry slipped under the radar (after he was asked about the National Journal's decision to rank him the most liberal senator in America:)

KERRY: Do you know what they measured in that? First of all, they measured 62 votes. I voted 37 times; 25 votes they didn't even count because I wasn't there to vote for them.

In other words, "Don't call me liberal. I'm not even there half the time."
