The World Almanac Speaks Out
Some commentators have been having a field day with an FBI alert to law enforcement that suggests potential terror suspects may be in possession of almanacs - as they look for data on new terror targets. The World Almanac and Book Of Facts isn't making wisecracks, and they seem to support the government's efforts. This just crossed the transom:

Five bucks sais that Jeneine Girraaafffalo uses the almanac bit in her next act.. right after she does the "Duck tape" gag for the upteenth time.. Sad thing is I believe this "almanac" warning is legit, and am pretty damn sure it is based on some very specific intel.. Also I believe the "almanac" alert was meant for law enforcement mainly as they pull people over for normal violations so that they remain on the look-out for something of that type lying in the passanger seat or something to that effect.. Now if i were to see a guy named Muhammed looking lustily up at the Brooklyn bridge with an "almanac" clutched to his breast, I might deck him.. just to be on the safe side..
